Just because we're business analysts and information architects doesn't make us nerdy. Just because the highlight of our day was completing an online hacking game doesn't make us geeks.

We stumbled across the Hacker Puzzle and proceeded to give our specialist brains a solid workout.

Give it a try and you'll see that Google has never heard of "Ojoffufo twenty". Until now...

Stuck on cricket

With England successful over Pakistan, and South Africa dismal against Sri Lanka, the Specialist teams cricketing spirits are divided this morning.

The cricketing conflict in our office extends beyond our national loyalties, however, for we are stuck on Stick Cricket.

The site's information architecture is a bit rough in places - discovering game options such as leagues being a little more complex than it needs to be. The business analysis was obviously overlooked in certain areas too - such as the "How many days are there in 3 days" logic.

For gameplay, viral marketing value and commercial potential, however, it is as cunning as Murali. If you have a spare 10 minutes, have a go.

PS. Graphico make nice viral games. We're pretty good at the whole integrated online marketing thing too.

Search engine optimisation and sunshine

Beware of dodgy SEO practices
That's what my weekend consisted of. I spent a good few hours writing SEO content for every page of a 65-page website.

So whilst the sun shone, and the Springboks surrendered, the SEO professional spun page titles, keywords, descriptions, image names and alt tags. I hope it's all worth it.

It's a multilingual, multinational site driven by a pretty fancy content management system. Fortunately for me, I was only tasked with the English SEO copy. It's difficult enough to suss out search engines in English, let alone Spanish, Swedish and Korean!

Now time to get back to reading "Getting Ranked First of Google" - an unintentional guide to the most dodgy Search Engine Optimisation practices ever! Oh dear.

We're special people at Graphico - a full service, creative digital agency.

Specifically, we are a small team of information architects and business analysts, intent on bringing order and purpose to the Internet.

In this blog we will keep the world posted on our practical experiences of information architecture, usability, web accessibibility and business analysis. We also plan to shamelessly try out a few Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) tactics.

Despite being architectural and analytical most of the time, we will also try our hand at a little humour. You've been warned.
